Anybody have any Ideas where to get a headstock spur center thats fits?

I would think you would be better off with some type of positive clamping like the jaws of a chuck rather then just the force of the spurs into the material. I think the chance for slipping is greater.

A steb center is better than a spur center...but if you have to get a spur center, a 2-prong will grip better than a 4-prong. I always use a steb on the head & tail.

Thats what I'm looking for, a Steb Center. But it has to be as short as possible because of the buddys table. unless I use the 6' stick.

5/8" and 1" via PSI. They go right in the chuck.

OK good - They are way better than a regular drive spur. You can also get a revolving one with bearing for the tailstock, which really helps to reduce splitting.
