    Man there are some great ideas and work out there.

    Sheldon,
    Absolutely beautiful... Makes me look at my old '73 Fender Precision and think about custom pick guards, etc. again...
    Question; am I seeing correctly? Did you somehow figure out how to cover/veneer the pickups to MATCH the grain of the body?, OR did you do a "cutout pass" for the pickup cavities and then use the top slice of the cut out "plug" to perform that function.....?

    Hi Bill,

    All the matching parts are cut from the plates before gluing up.
