Default Auto Cad and Inventor Files

We have just started a new project at school this week making rockets for our research and design class. We are designing our fins for the rocket on Inventor and attempting to send the files to partworks to cut out of balsa wood. Whe ni Export the file into a .dwg or .dxf , partworks wont recognize them . Any help wood be awesome - Thanks

make sure you export the files from an inventor drawing file - not the part file.

I have found that AutoCad version 2000 or older in a .dxf seem to work the best, at least for me. I dont know what others would recommend...
