    Yeah, I saw the dog walk across and saw the tail (or lack thereof) and then saw the open pulleys/gears and thought yup, that's where it went I bet. Either that or some preventative maintenance.

    There's another place in Oregon call the Hull-Oakes Lumber Company and I had the chance to tour that from log pond to finish timbers. Very cool. These places really get to rockin & rolling at full steam! Standing next to that band saw, it will get and keep your attention! Highly recommend site to see if you're in the area.

    The first plant I worked in made cable spools and the whole damned place ran off one engine and leather belts. I still have the scars to show, although after 40 plus years they have gotten pretty faint. Great memories. Thanks for posting this.
