What a wonderful way to advertise your business. The name choice, tells he's part of the community. How could this town not support Ray since he's part of them. Smart way to advertise.

Agreed Joe.
Too many people want to include their own name in the name of their business. I think the name of the business should tell the whole story whenever possible.
For example... If somebody was to name their business "Bob's Graphics", it leaves too much to the imagination. Bob might be in the monument sign business, dimensional sign business, or vinyl lettering and banners. But, you'd never know it by the business name.
And if Bob ever wanted to sell his business, it might have less appeal to a potential buyer because the name is too personalized.

Eric,
Wouldn't the "The Village Signmaker" be a good franchise name? It's a call for support. I can imagine the name of the town included like this, The New Orleans Village Signmaker, Or something like that.
Every business need a good name and website. A good logo goes a long way also but it needs to be done by someone else. Making your own logo is very difficult. There's so many excellent artist wanting to assist. And they aren't expensive either.
