    Default Carved Bookcase

I built this for the worlds worst customer (me). I say that because I seem to focus on the defects and mistakes and not the good parts. Its made with walnut with lacquer clear coats. The carvings are modified versions of a custom model by Todd Bailey when he was at Vector Art 3d. The molding is carved into the same wood that makes the face frame.

Very nice work, walnut sure is a beautiful wood, makes me sneeze if not wearing a mask when sanding.

What type of lacquer are you using?

Looks great! Now you will have to make the doors to the room and trim out of walnut to match.

It’s our bedroom and along with incorporating the mirror into the cabinet I am going to build valances for the curtains, a shallow cabinet for the TV and a head board that will both go to the ceiling and then crown molding will go around the room tying everything together.
I'll also be doing the doors and trim, it's going to take a while.

And the lacquer is ML Campbell.

Looks very good. Love the walnut.
