    Looking for a source to buy a .25 or .375" bit that is 5" to 6" long

    John Mscdirect I've gotten some tapered ball nose bits 5" long , they ship quick

    HTC carbide bits from "Carbide-end-mill-store", e.g. 1/4" x 6" long for $20. They have flat and ball end versions.

    I noticed such long bits flex a lot and make a hell of a racket machining wood.

    i buy a lot from BAM carbide, they are small and will make custom lengths for you if you ask them.
