I can't use it now, but in the future? Always nice to know what people are doing on the desktop. Thanks for posting. Bookmarked. Scott

Perhaps I'm being petty, but both my magazine editor firneds agree that they have not provided adequate credit where it is due.

    The article states:
So when he got his hands on a leather cutting drag knife

I decided to look on the website were the drag knife was first acquired

Do they have something against mentioning the inspiration for their articles by name? If you're going to openly copy someone else you should have the courtesy of providing their name.

if you haven't seen it, this is the video I posted 6 weeks ago on how to do the project they have just posted.

Sean, I watched that video and It didn't even click. Was that your drag knife they used as well? Credit should have been given, he sounded very innovative and cocky about it.

The photo at the top of the article clearly shows a shopbot with our drag knife installed, although it's just fuzzy enough that you can't read the logo on our tool.

Thought I saw this some else, and I did it was here!
Most of the things on MAKE and other sites have all ready been done, just not posted.

I'm not sure if I get you on this. Are you saying that they made the project months before it was posted? Even if that were the case, the article still clearly states that the drag knife and it's companies web site and videos were the inspiration for the project. They show our tool in the machine. Why not mention us by name?

I'm saying that the person who does it first usually does not post to though sites. Most people who post ideas have seen them else were and just post some kind of how to or isn't this cool type thing.

That was a great idea when I first saw it on FB - really some amazing imagination going on there!

    Sean,

It's good to see they responded and added article links to your products.

On your vacuum table design, i'm wondering if using Trupan would provide the needed vacuum hold down for thin sheet goods and simplify box construction.
