    Default last project of 2013...

Threw (literally) this Lego table together for my son yesterday... from 12mm Baltic Birch.

Cut the curves on the bot in literally minutes. So accurate especially for the tupperware bin openings.

I also made some (eek!) MDF doors for one customer, but forgot to snap a photo. Will do tomorrow.

Finish is one coat of quick dry black primer, and two topcoats of some royal blue catalyzed lacquer (post cat) I had left over from a previous job.

The rads in the background are the new hot water circulating heating system I just put into my finsihing room a few weeks back. It has been between -30 and -40 C here for weeks, and its getting used a lot!

Andrew, admit it-You got tired of stepping on Legos. Like the Tupperware recess idea and may use your idea much smaller as a sorting table for misc. screws/bolts/nails etc. I keep in clear containers. I like how you used the drawer face as a lip for the surround to make sweeping the contents into drawer simple. MDF. You

    Default Great job

Wow what a great job. I have a friend that I would like to make one for. His son is Autistic and loves Lego. I have some contact speakers that I will include under the table top. The whole surface become the speaker and the vibrations help to keep him focused.

Once again, great idea a real inspiration.
