    Default Hard to keep a Good Man down

    Dad was just admitted to hospital last night with congestive heart failure, yet first thing this morning he called and said he couldn't sleep well as he was worried about this slowing his plans. Been on the net and phone all morning with Dad's bookkeeper and Dianne and Happy to say money being wired to Shopbot today for our second Desktop with all the trimmings to go to our Limestone, Maine shop. Maybe now he'll rest easier.

    It'll probably only take 3-4 nurses to take his cell phone away until he hears back from me that the funds were transferred. Ten minutes ago I found out the wire transfer has to be done in person-so his bookkeeper and her husband are shovelling out the foot of snow we got last night in -25F windchill to drive the 12 miles to the bank so we can tell Dad its a done deal.

    Dad passed peacefully in his sleep under Home Hospice Care at 2:57am after a WONDERFUL last fishing trip..... last Friday morning(April 26).
    It was This Forum that convinced him to buy a total of 3 Desktops, and he Highly valued all the responses from everybody to my questions over the years!!
    He knew quite a few of you by name and projects posted

    I'm VERY sure he would have wanted me to thank you ALL !!!
    Sorry I didn't post before, BUT Dad DID last longer than Home Hospice thought(AND very Happy he was at Home...even with the 24 hour caregivers!)
    Celebrated his 90'th birthday on April 7

    Got caught when I was in the middle of a Putzing "Project" with "Scrap" wood.....and pretty much went through it HERE;

    VERY glad we bought the Desktops..and had you all for support!!!

    I am always impressed when I hear of someone who kept himself active this late in life, still working at something he enjoyed, still fishing. I hope I can come close to matching his achievement. Sorry for your loss.
