Just like the title says does anyone know if ecabinets will run on will ecabinets run on a 2004 PRT Alpha or how old of a machine will ecabinets run on? Any help with this would be great.

    Thanks

It will run fine on that machine. You do need to run one of the newer (3.6xx) versions of the control software for best results.

Shopbot Link - which is what takes the eCabinets data and converts to Shopbot code - runs on control V3.6 and up. The current version of ShopBot Link has some bugs/issues and I have been asking the Thermwood folks if/when these will be fixed. So far, no response from them.

Don't use TABS in SBLink. The dado and mortise cutting can be flaky at times.

I don't want to argue with Don but I use tabs on all my smaller part. I think I'm set for anything under 5" wide. I'd be lost without them as I just run a 2 central vac hold down. I just touch the edges with my edge sander.

I also am able to use tabs ok, but have problems if I check 'Perform all through cuts last' or if I have it cut out the offall (think this has to do with having a machine larger than 4x8)

I've attached results of using the tab option. This has been confirmed by Thermwood as a problem using them, but offered no estimated time for fixing.

I am envious of those that are not having these problems. I sure wish I wasn't.

Has the tabbing issue been resolved? I had to do a fresh install of ecabs on a new laptop with windows 10. It was tabbing like Don's photo. Now I managed to resurrect my old IBM think pad with xp, and needed a fresh install as well. The XP machine appears to be tabbing correctly. (So far).
