Introduction and overview of the new features added to Aspire 4.5 and VCarve Pro 7.5

A 3D effect can be easily created by layering separate 2D/2.5D pieces to make a dimensional sign. For this project we’ll show you how to draw the parts for a sign design and discuss the best ways to toolpath them to make the finished part.

    14:0 0 – 14:30 Break

    14:30 – 15:30 Cutting and Finishing - Tim Merrill

Expert Vectric user Tim Merrill will work with some of the projects being shown at the meeting to discuss ideas for material selection and preparation, practical ways to setup effective toolpaths and tips and tricks on finishing.

Two sided machining is a very powerful and surprisingly easy technique on a CNC. Many people do not try it though as they think it’s more complex than it actually is. In this example we’ll draw and model an elegant dish with stand and show how to cut these as a two-sided job.

I sure wish I was able to attend - but family stuff has taken precedence.

Give a shout out to my Vectric/VA3D peeps for me!

Looking forward to it! 1 week to go... I should be staying home to work (things just went from busy to crazy) but it will be good to have a few days away from the shop, and trying to learn some of the new features of Aspire. I need to get going on using the new version.
