Andrew, Know what you mean. Got a "True Sub-Woofer Cube" tied in with Velodyne 18 and B&W towers and center, and 7 Zones of 8X10" inwalls(Strains the Adcom). Thunderstorms in a movie make the dishes rattle and stuff on shelves "walk" LOVE the THX sound.

In most cases, no. However, from time to time a group of us have been known to perform "spirited demonstrations" for each other. At such points I've tapped the clip lights on the amps.

    Andrew,

I have built many speakers on my ShopBot. These are pictures of a set I built a few years ago. The wooden midrrange horn was the most complicated piece in this design.

Stan - very cool, especially the horn! As I said in PM I'd love to chat regarding the design and/or check out your aspire files.

just a few I've built over the years
Horns are more difficult but worth the effort

Brian - were most of your builds kit/plan based or are you doing crossover design as well?
