Default Carving on a curved surface

I am making a sign in the shape of a disc - like a frisbee - without having to make the surface completely flat, is there a way to carve into the curved surface? Aspire 4.5
    Thanks, Dick

Dick, are you talking about V-Carving? If so, after you create your 3-D model and create your V-Carve design and go to the V-Carve toolpath, down near the bottom is a check box to project V-Carve onto 3-D model...hope this helps...joe
