Where can I buy some?
We have made them in the past but we only have pine and need something nicer.

Check out http://www.moslowwood.com/ I've used them in the past, they are good people. Also look at their Specials section. They've got a really nice deal on 8 x 10 walnut plaques with an ogee edge.
Check for Corian sink cut outs from a cabinet shop.
The decimal point seems to be the most important on the z axis... x & y not so much....

Thanks for posting the question, Kyle. Even though you could have googled as Gene stated, the question resulted in Bill posting a link I had not seen before. Great supplies. Although sold out, in their specials they had flag cases going for so cheap, I couldn't buy the wood at their selling price. And there are some great ideas. Put that link in my favorites to back and regularly check out their specials. Unexpected good consequences can come out of a simple question. Goes to show the great people we have here and the yet many untapped links still out there. Happy Easter everyone.
Note that I have seen a lot of "premade" plaques have biscuits or dowels between the staves that become visible when you carve them. There are a ton of suppliers out there but many of them are getting the stock from the same few wholesale distributors who in turn get them from the same few manufacturers.
Gene, I'm not lazy. I did google it and then thought why not ask, maybe a fellow boter makes them and I could buy the blanks from them... And I have found someone on the forum that makes them and I will be buying from them.

Kyle - I have used these guys a couple of times. They make the plaques themselves and their color matching is very good.
