We're getting the most use out of ours getting a finished true edge with 220G and then swapping to 320G for the end grain (so finish penetrates close to the same) and sighting along the board edge, it looks so much better than hand or spindle sanding. tremendous time saver, improves results, and we can easily move it around the shop(unlike Kirks cast monster in his shops basement-easier belt change too). Got 5 different grits from 5 different suppliers to compare- if you get reversible belts almost the whole surface can be used and you don't get that"ka-thump--Ka-thump". So used to using my Bosch 4X24 at 80-120G I wasn't ready for how versatile it is with finer grit belts. I bought the Bosch benchtop adapter but it's not really the same animal.
