    Default Trupan in North Carolina?

I'm trying to help a few Shopbotters set up their vacuum table in Eastern North Carolina, and they have reported that they can't find any local sources of Trupan. Is anyone having any luck in doing so? If not, how about sources for the "Ultralight" flavor of MDF? Thanks in advance for any leads on this...!

Bill - I am in Virinia. I bought some from Atlantic Plywood in Richmond about a year ago. They had decent prices. Richmond is their closest branch to NC. I am 3-1/2 hours from Richmond, but they delivered mine to Roanoke for me at no charge which was only 1 hour away. They might meet your guys somewhere in between also.

    Bill,
Try Sierrapine products. http://www.sierrapine.com/ They have a ultralight MDF that I've been using as my spoilage board for about a year. Trupan has been really hard to find lately.

Here is a Distributor in NC:

    Andy,
Thanks! I'm a little surprised to find that Trupan has sort of " disappeared" from the region, because it used to be readily available. Even the guys at Shopbot inter galactic headquarters (Durham) haven't had much luck finding it lately...

    Bill,
It is surprising since the distributor is here in the Atlanta area.

I called, but, they don't deliver to Roanoke Rapids, NC
I'm going to go there and pick up a few sheets. If someone needs some and can meet me. I'll pick up some.

We just got some ultra light MDF from Wurth Wood Group in Raleigh and it works fantastic for our vac table. You can get it 5' wide too! I don't know who the manufacturer is but it's every bit as good as the Trupan we used to drive to D.C. to get.

    Default Ultr light

    Travis,
If it works, it's good .......! Thanks for the local lead too, a number of people are always looking to try out some sort of table, and the right spoil board can really make the difference between a table that "works", and one that doesn't.....
