    After resizing to correct dimensions, quadruple checking everything, working an 8 hour shift at his day job. I THINK he made the deadline, but haven't heard from him. I think it killed HIM
    I make cremains boxes, using my Desktop to carve inlays (the dovetailed boxes are made without the aid of CNC) - and the above scenario is just another day in my shop. Tell him the next time this happens that an infra-red heater will speed up the drying time for finish - or if he doesn't have one of those, an oven set to about 125 F works just fine too.

    Thanks Roy, I can see how making the boxes beforehand and having blank lids ready for carving would reduce the stress and let You have a better finished product. He only had enough time for one layer of shellac, But she cried (in a good way) when she saw it, so he did OK. Have used oven to speed up oils, but really have to stay on top of the bleeding.
