    Default air drill

    Hi All-

I'm using a shop bot air drill on my PRS Alpha and using ecabinets. The issue I'm having is that the air drill turns "on" right as the bit touches the surface of ply. This leaves a slight tear out. I need the drill to turn on a .25" or so before.

Tech support was not a lot of help. There suggestions let to the drill turing on sooner but it would shut off between drill holes. Any suggestions?

Dual I believe. There is a red sleeve to manually keep air on/off and the drill cycles on/off between holes being drilled.

I have the single, what pp are you using, or is it just through the sblink.

John, I had that problem early on and if I recall (Gary Campbell worked for Shopbot then and helped me figure it out, wish he was still there) I went to sbparts, and found the MTC file. In the MTC file I changed the "On Threshold to .375 and the Off Threshold to .5. In the link I changed the retract height to 1". Yours may be different than mine, so you may have to experiment.
