    Default Hardwood Central Florida

I am looking for a new supplier of 4/4 hardwood.
Mostly red oak but does vary.
I got an order last week and the yield was just not acceptable. Giant knots but they seemed rotten and just could not be used. I am in central Fl. (cocoa) Thanks for any suggestions.

    Dave...
Have you tried Heritage Forest Products in DeLand? Babcock in Ruskin? (wrong coast) Both used to deliver on a weekely basis. I have purchased very good and fair from each depending on the batch. IT's lonely here since Banks Hardwoods pulled out of MIA.

I've been buying my wood from woodworkerssource.com. They're located in Arizona, but deliver in about 1 week. If you want clear wood with no knots or issues, but put that down in your order and they'll send you good wood.

Their prices seem to be pretty good in comparison to other online places I've found, and have a wide variety of domestic and exotic woods. They have specials all the time on select wood species. You all might be buying wood at wholesale, I don't know, so you might think their prices are high.

I'd like to have some other alternatives to buy wood from especially if you can order it online. Are there any other really good online sites for wood?

Another thing with woodworkersource.com, you have to factor in shipping. Shipping cost have been roughly $3.20 per board foot.

I went to the other sites mentioned in this thread and I didn't see any price lists. Can anyone here compare prices with these sites to woodworkerssource.com?

I have used www.walllumber.com in the past.
Good wood but I haven't ordered 400 bd. ft. lately. You need large orders to justify the shipping cost.
Local suppliers charge a flat rate that has been around $10.00 per delivery.
