Exclamation filters for usb communication cable

I was told that on the ShopBot alpha there are supposed to be some filters on the USB communication cable from the control box to the computer. I looked at mine and realized mine is missing. been having trouble with alpha stopping and foreclosing the ShopBot software and losing zero mid cut. Can anyone with a alpha please verify this and maybe post a picture of the filter. He stated that what usually happens is it gets knocked off the usb cable not realizing it and swept up when cleaning up.

    thanks in advance!!

The filter is inside your control box. It's just grey cycinder that the cable goes through. Something like this:

That's what I thought. I had seen these before on some of my minidisc players/recorders and thought thats what they were but was just not sure. Luckily the guy that used to work here installs curtain systems on ShopBots and now has his own business and was able to spare one.

Any ideas where you bought yours at?
Would like to have a couple back ups
    thanks again!!

You can also get double shielded USB cables with molded-in ferrite chokes like the one from Tripp-Lite. That works well for my USB controller.

Default Replace USB and added new filter

Still did not fix issue. Guess will have to get ShopBot in here to help me troubleshoot.

had shopbot come out and troubleshoot and still having issues. I am also running a older pc with windows xp and 1GB-2GB of ram. Shopbot told me that they recommend win 7 or 8 with at least 4 GB of ram. What it is doing different that it was not before is that Shopbot console is not foreclosing on me therefore I am able to start back at the line that stops. Most of the time the zero will get lost and have to rezero 2 or 3 axis then I am able to start back where it stopped. Right now I am just getting by.

Don't know if this will be helpful or not this is just kinda my scenario.
