    Default dust collection

    is the dusct collection on the desktop 2 inches? Im new to woodworking and CNC and ive never had a dust collector before but the one I have has a 4inch port while the desktop seems to be 2 so im guessing ill need a reducer?

    Choke it down as close to the Desktop as you can, and if you do need 2.5" (easier to keep away from cords and wiring harness) go clear, as it's lots easier to see obstructions. When I first started I tried both a 750cfm Delta(4" choked down) and a rinky-dink almost dead Craftsman shopvac(probably 100cfm) and the shopvac worked as well or better than the Delta DC. Desktop seems to like high vac/low volume more than versa-visa---don't forget grounding DC now that winters coming.
