    Default Crank out window

I have to replace two windows on the house they were sigle pane crank windows that were pure junk so I made two of these the insulated glass will be in in a week or so and I will install them in the house. the house is more of a cabin so these will fit right in.

Its a bit Rube Goldberg thats what I like, was thinking of a electric motor on the winder but maybe going to far

The bot just made the ratchet gear and winding pulley. the casing is white oak.

That's neat Brian. That reminds me of the house i gre up in, it had transom windows above the doors and it had a steel rod that you pushed up that was part of 3 rods that formed a backwards 4 shape that opened the transom by lowering it. Don't recall exactly how it worked just recalled what it looked like.

Got one in, it looks too new, now I got to stain the siding, it is a bit weathered I guess.

    Works real nice

Brian that looks great Not sure how long that rope will last exposed to the weather. Here is the hardware i was talking about that looked like a backward 4

you could probably make it way cheaper then these prices but it would give you a look at how to design yours although youd have to flip the window 180 then 90 degrees

    NICE Brian North facing?
Is that standard Board/batten with a semi-circle routed one end? My darn eyes keep telling me you hollowed out logs with a humungous cove bit
    Easy install?
