Like Brady said also applies to collet nuts--Got 2 that I "saved" money on---They will probably sit in the back of my drawer forever- money down the drain

I got the ball bearing collet nuts from
http://www.arceurotrade.co.uk/Catalo...s-and-Spanners
And they are great .....you can feel it tightening up real good without much effort!
And shipping from UK was fast!

I was about to order the collets from Shopbot until I went to checkout and saw that the least expensive shipping on two collets was Fedex at $29.70. I'm OK with $40 each for two collets but $29.70 to ship two small items is just too much.

I think they are around $25 ea average price for a quality collet. This is not an area where you want to scrimp & save. If you don't get precision collets, you run the risk of breaking tools, having excessive runout on smaller diameter tools and having to cut the nut off of the spindle because the collapse range was too big.
This is one area where you get what you pay for. Pay now or pay later. You decide.

I use these but you do have to make a minimum order.
