I just finished up this mirror, it's for the wife for Christmas.
It's 32" x 25" and smells like poly and stain.
She loves it.

Very Nice!
Scott,
Love it! How deep is it and what kind of run time are we looking at?

NICE!
That is a "bragging piece"... you should post a pic or two of it in process.
Michael, it's out of 2" thick stock. I'm thinking it was about 30 hours?
I spent just as much time sanding it out. The edges, especially.
MGM, I'd post some pics of it in process, but it's just the usual "not done, not done, not done, done" stuff.
I don't think I even got a pic of the inset and tab cutting on the back. That's at least moderately interesting.
I made it so this mirror can be removed and replaced super easy.
Plus I want to etch it one I get my diamond drag I ordered. But I'll need to practice with the drag on glass before I hit the mirror with it. I'm too scared.
Scott, Which Diamond Drag did you get?
Gorgeous piece!

I ordered the $60 one from ebay that looks just like the $180 one from widgetworks.
I found it by searching the forum. Seems guys have had good luck with it.
I don't intend to do much etching at all, so if it works as well as the guys here say, it'll keep me. If I ever start doing more etching, I'll get the one from widgetworks.
Odds of that are real slim. I have zero desire to etch anything, never did, but it's good to have another trick in the toolbox, right?
Thanks for the info Scott! I have several files that look like that but haven't had a chance to try them yet. This gives me a time frame to set aside when I get to that point! Beautiful work!
