Unhappy Sharpies needed to step up PLEASE

Hello everyone, Marv Berg here, newbie to the world of CNC. I am amazed at all the talent that I have seen so far. Okay here's the deal. I have wanted to add an CNC to my woodworking tool complement for a long time. I finally scored a used shopbot from a school district that had outgrown it. I feel I am an accomplished carpenter, a fair woodworker, but I recently found out I am a poor computer operator. I must have watched a dozen hours of TJs tutorials and made pages of notes. But when I go out to implement the most simple list of tasks the shopbot defies me. The support team at shopbot has given me the ammunition to hook the wires up but the shopbot will not cooperate. So I have a proposal for anyone who lives in the Twin City area of Minnesota. If you would come to my shop and talk some sense into this machine I would be willing to pay you green cash. The unit I have is a 48 x 96 with a PRT v 4.17 board inside the computer box. I would try to attach pictures but as previously stated my computer skills are limited. I'm not sure of all the rules to the forum so I don't know if I can just leave my phone number but to anyone that will answer my plea may be private message I'm not sure. Thanking you in advance. Frustrated Marv Berg

There is a guy in Blaine with a buddy that should be able to help.
If not I'm just over the river but have never played with an older bot.
Your best option would be to PM Scott W. From Thorp WI. And have him come over.

    Default wow! thanks everyone

Thank you all. The shopbot is up and running. John David came out and worked his magic and the gremlins are gone. Thanks again to everyone that came to my rescue.
    Marv Berg out.
