    Default Ending up 2014

Last year was lots of fun, thanks to my friends and customers not to forget all the outstanding information posted on the Shopbot Forum.

Looking back on the type of work, which is to say the materials and techniques, there have been changes. First off my painting materials have switched over to NOVA Color. Previously I purchased mainly latexes. That proved to be trouble with yellow, red, blue in the darker hue's. They didn't cover very well and ended up sticky. My use of HDU came to an abrupt end being replaced with PVC. It's cheaper and tougher without the nasty grit.

It was the year I started incorporating LED's and PVC. I've only made a half dozen large signs but they proved to be quiet profitable. Not too time consuming either. I'd say almost fast.

Work completely turned away from 3D carving except for backgrounds. The wood grain effect has proven to be a good seller.

The only equipment purchased was a battery powered Graco. It's a hand held, airless paint unit that lays down a little less paint than a big rig airless but easy to clean up. $600.00

I'd like to encourage everyone to post photo's. After all. most CNC work needs to be seen. Everyone learns by seeing.

One of the photo's is our new masthead for the website. The whole website needs a work over since it's been ages since the last one. I'd encourage everyone interested in improving their business to do the same.

Happy and prosperous new year to everyone.

I think I only broke one bit this year. Way better than last year.

I always enjoy reading you, Joe.
The new masthead looks great. When they do that rework, Tell them your name isn't Joe Crumbley (blog page). Or not. Cause every time I see it, it makes me smile.
