Default Tiger Ply plywood from Menards.

I just did some cutting on some maple 11ply plywood by tiger ply. I must have gotten a bad piece because the veneers on each side peeled off. Not splintered like if you were to cross cut with a dull cheep blade on a table saw, but actually peel off like if you were to take a slice of cheese off a stack. I almost think the adhesive didn't cure properly.

Has anyone else had this problem before? This is the first sheet I have had issues with in the 10 years I've taught high school woodworking.

I have had it happen but not with the tiger ply. Take it back and get a new sheet.
We have run some of that tiger ply and it seems ok just bit their .75" ply is more like .68" ( at least on their pre-finished plywood)

I see it all the time, in all kinds of plywood. Plywood is not what it used to be.

If you Google "Tiger Ply Menards", you'll see it's pretty a common issue.
