What size bit did you go with? That's the problem with going "Small".....TRYING to get the detail Dan gets going "Large".
Never mind my machine can't hack the Size----It's owner couldn't hack the Time!

I carved it with a 1/16 ballnose bit and then went over the bottom half with a 1/32 ballnose for better detail, the 1/16 carve took 2 1/2 hours( whole model) and the 1/32 bit took 3 hours (for half the model).

The estimated time was less than half that. So I need to play with that some.

Haven't unwrapped my 32'd yet, DID putz with a 1"(Y) VectorArt3D file yesterday in Bloodwood with 3 different bits getting my feet wet(VERY 3D newbie). This was a Onsrud .25" 30degree engraving bit with a .01" flat in one pass/no roughing.
Just trying out some tips Michael Tyler gave me on Vectric forum.(starting on page 2)
