    Default Machine Errors

Several times recently, I've my machine has made a loud grinding, shuddering noise when jogging in a slight diagonal direction. The noise continues until I stop the machine.

I've also had several comm errors lately, and again today. The machine stopped mid cut, with the error message on the screen. The bit stayed in the material, which was odd, as it normally would retract in this situation.

Also inserting/removing a thumb drive is still causing the control software to cut-out.

Is it time to invest in a decent control computer? Currently running a cheap Dell, and I'm wondering it that's the source of the problems.

What machine and SB control software are you running? Is it a PRT with a 4g board upgrade?

Does seem to be a problem with the US model Dells as lots of people report issues with the USB. Not sure what's different on the European ones but I've used several over the years without issues.
