If I was going to buy a Chinese laser I'd definitely go for a rabbit. Ray is a gent and helped me out tremendously even though I had a different machine. I had great fun with tech support from China so that's an issue if you aren't so inclined. The difference between a US machine and Chinese is Night & Cornflakes. I have a Rabbit laser (bought from Ray, Middletown OH - Cinci area). Yes it might be slower than Universal and Epilog - but it's a great place to start - especially for the price and size.

I bought mine from Automation Technologies in Hoffman Estates IL in Chicago. Good prices and very helpful. He demoed it and gave some training on it. Also had a small problem with the controller after 1 year and he replaced it overnite
