    Default Edge Sander

It seems there is always another tool to buy

I had need for an edge sander in order to get rid of some saw marks on a bunch of panels prior to staining. I cut a table and fence to mount on my Ridgid Oscillating Belt Sander. I've been using it for a couple months now and have been very pleased with it.

I've attached the dxf if anyone is interested in cutting one. You will need to drill and tap two 1/4 x 20 holes in the surface of the existing table of the sander.

    Thanks for the file Keith!
Now that I've got the Northern's shop tools here, I've got 2 Ridgids and this would be nice to have in the unheated garage for larger stuff.

Old growth MDF (Edge banded and veneered with cherry.)

Here's a shot of part of the order waiting for pick up.

I'm glad you'll find the file useful. I thought there would be a lot of people with that sander in their shops. I've used my sander more in the last couple months since I put the table extension and fence on than I did in the previous couple of years.

That's a great idea. I have a ridgid sander just like that and i have struggled on occassion with larger pieces without thinking about making a larger table. I'll use this jig...thanks
