    Default Annual Craft Fair Items

In ways, I love craft fairs, and in ways I don't love craft fairs.
You never know what they will be buying, and I only do 3 or 4 a year as the day job keeps my hopping all over the US installing and configuration LIS systems in Laboratories.

But word of mouth has got out that I make some pretty cool stuff and I've been recruited to these shows, and since I don't know how to say no I've been a bit busy in the shop this last couple of weekends.

    Nice stuff!
I like the cedar and walnut panoramic carved scenes- contrasting sapwood really sets them off. Also, blend of sap/heart on the horse head contributes to a very natural look.

I especially like the tree root morphing into a celtic knot - where'd you find that pattern, or is it your own?

Good luck at the show- cash is easier to carry than slabs of wood!

The reason i'm not crazy about craft fairs is all the painting/finishing you have to do on yours and then some idiot walks up, sees your price and says "You want (X) dollars for that?" Like they can buy the same thing at walmart for $10.00.

Excellent work on the carving, painting and finishing...good job!

Feel the same way, I'd rather do a few custom jobs, that pay you for your time and effort. I'll start a new post but have one I'm working on for LODD for a local Fire Department.
