You will find it useful. I use mine every time I run the machine now, even tough my computer is in a better location that previously, I still love having the bumpbar to get up close to the bit and be able to move/set/zero/etc the bits without having to go back and forth from the keyboard.

I wish I was there... but it is crazy at work, and I have a large kitchen and another case goods job to finish for next week.

It was a great first day for me (missed Thursday) Mike Mezalick gave a fantastic presentation at the end of the day - worth the trip on its own!

But, dissapointed w/ Shopbot participation. I thought there would be more of a presence from them (there was a Desktop Max there, but never anyone with it).

Well it is an Aspire camp, and not a specific CNC brand camp... Since Jim is a heavy Camaster user it makes sense they have a presence there.

I was there the previous two years, and the first year there was some one from Shopbot there with a desktop, but nothing last year.

    Enjoy!

Aspire Camp...camheads for sure...no control software issues there. Wireless remote a must.

Is this unit good for the SB?

    Are there other units recommended?

I am holding off ordering the bumpbar while I research other options. That wireless ProxSmart CNC remote looks cool. And if I had an Android app, that would be most ideal. The link for the app4lumia .apk is failing for me every time, and it's rather outdated anyways. Says for Android 2.0. Well, that's 3 years old.

Here's the link to the newer versions of the ShopBot Remote Android app:

I'm going to play with it today and see how it goes.
