    Default XY move very fast

on my alpha Buddy, I've recently developed two problems...
    1. When I first start up, any moves in x or y, are very fast and seem to ignore the displayed position, and bang to a stop, past the limt switch. Then, after reset and xy zeroing, things go normally.
    2. I just put my 2448 power stick back in, and xy zero routine. The y zero is well short of the table, and when I send it y=48, it is at least an inch short of the end of the table.

    anyone?
    thnx
