I believe that the Buddy only comes as a PRS but you can choose the Standard or the Alpha. I have the Alpha version.
Slowing it down helped a little bit but the quality was still not acceptable on the small type. I think I was just asking the machine to do something it wasn't able to do. We redesigned the sign so all the small type could be done on a 2 x 4 panel and I did it on the aluminum table. Problem solved!

But did you ever get a real answer to the ratings for the table weight? I could have just missed it when reading the forum posts.

This might be a stupid answer but have you run the tool setup files located in:

C:\Program Files\ShopBot\ShopBot 3\Settings\PRS ShopBots\PRS_alpha Tools

A couple of people were having issues and after running the proper file their problems went away.
