Please join us on Saturday, April 9, 2016 for the San Diego Camp ShopBot!

The San Diego Camp will be held at:
Old Globe Theatre's production shop
5335 Market St.
San Diego, CA 92114

*Room location and other details will be emailed out 1 week prior to the camp for those registered.

Camp ShopBots are free 1-day events organized, lead and sponsored by ShopBot Tools, Inc. that feature topic-based presentations, Q&A sessions, face to face networking with other ShopBot users as well as guest speakers.

We are returning to San Diego after a short hiatus. The Old Globe Theatre's production shop is hosting us for the first time, though they've attended a few Camps in the past. You'll get to see where this theatre constructs their sets, where some of the magic happens.

Topics will include Understanding Chipload Calculations, Cutting Plastics and Aluminum and Foam, Troubleshooting Mechanical Issues, Best practices for 3D Carving, a look at some new features of VCarve Pro 8.0 along with the new Fusion 360 (a 3D design CAD/CAM package) and more.

And, we highly encourage you to bring one or more ShopBot projects for our ever-popular Show and Tell Session. It is a great way to actively participate in the day and to see specific techniques in person.

Camps are FREE to attend with lunch included, but we ask that you register.

Camp Schedule:
8:30- 9am: Meet & Greet and morning refreshments
9am- Noon: Morning presentations
Noon- 1pm: Lunch
1- 1:30pm: Show and Tell session
1:30- 4pm: Afternoon presentations
Camp will wrap up no later than 4:30pm

Cool. You should invite San Diego's FabLab to attend. They use a BlackFoot CNC, but would benefit from switching to ShopBot. http://www.fablabsd.org/

Perfect timing. We get our bot delivered tomorrow and I'll have 5 weeks to get it setup and make something for Show/Tell!

The San Diego Camp in April is filling up very quickly! Our attendance cap is 60 people. There are 5 more spaces left and then we will go to a waiting list. So sign up soon if you plan on attending!

We will update this post again when we reach 60 and give further instructions on how to add your name to the wait list.
