Default Upgrading drivers & motors a PRS standard ?

OK, I own a PRS standard 4 x 8 (2007), I think first year they came out. This tool is running great, I am cutting cabinet parts with the link at 7 ips (2 passes) but I am right on the edge for speed and the compression bit needs to be sharp. I would surely use more torque (changing drivers and motors) to maybe double the torque which is at 75 lbs right now. Any of you did it without going to Alpha set up (I don't need closed loop system, and I like the way a standard works). I need a direct replacement that will keep the modification simple and quick. Any suggestion is welcome.

Why are you not wanting to go to alpha? Increased torque and resolution, operating should be the same for you with better results.
