    Default cutting down a 4x8 to a 4x4

Is it possible to make a 4x8 shop bot a 4x4 and if so would shopbot be the best place to do so? I have one I want to buy but its a 4x8 and that is just to tight for my space but a 4x4 would work perfectly

the only real issue would be the frame. you would have to move the legs forward but then you can just cut it off.

I would try for a 4X6 or even a 4X5. Keep as much of it as you can...joe

I bought a 4x8 that the owner had bought 4 ft extrusions and rails. I still have the 8 foot pieces and extra set of legs. I am pretty happy with the 4x4 (49x52 inches) config.
