    Lightbulb ShopBot Easy Design brings up broken buttons

    ShopBot Easy Design.jpg

    When in ShopBot Easy mode and I click on the Design button I get a window with options fro the V-Carve ShopBot Edition and PartWorks 3D.

    Is this software that is installed with new ShopBots?

    At the Techshop we have V-Carve Pro 7.

    Is there any chance that future updates of the control software could include links to these programs if they aren't installed? You could then dirct folks to download or buy them as needed.

    The latest that Shopbot Edition folk are anxiously awaiting is 8.5**
    They should be able to upgrade their V7 to at least 7.5 by clicking "check for updates" in the help tab if online.
    If not connected,then the downloadable VCP 7.5 patch is available from Shopbot under Partworks here;

    New Shopbots are shipping VCP8 I imagine.
    Call Shopbot sales for the upgrade price to VCP8, definitely worth it if only for the 3D library and ease of 3D's and plenty of other tools.

    Which Techshop are you using? You might suggest that they check out the VCarvePro Makerspace version, which lets members work remotely using the trial version and generate toolpaths, and cut those files on a tool in that shop.

    Hi Bill - I'm at TechShop San Jose. I like the idea of a MakerSpace version of V-Carve Pro. We use it with the ShopBots and the Tormach.

    They have full version of V-Carve Pro 7 and 6 on the Hub and classroom machines, but being able to use a version at home would be nice. I ended up learning Fusion 360 because of their generous licensing, but if TechShop and V-Carve work out a licensing deal it would be great to have a product with so much more post processor support!
