Default Windows 10 and shopbot ver 3.8.40

I understand that Shopbot recommends Win 7, but does anyone run a newer style machine on Win 10 without problems. Win 10 has some features I would like, but I don't want to do the free upgrade if it is going to plague me with problems. The new laptop I am using has 8 gig ram, so that should not be an issue. I will be driving a Desktop Max, so it has the latest control board available .
    Thanks
    Bob

I upgraded my ShopBot computer to Windows 10 about a month ago when they started telling me in the nag messages that the upgrade would not be free in a couple months. I'm running ShopBot ver 3.8.40 on a PRS Alpha 9660 with ATC. I use the eCabinets ShopBot link, was using VCarve Pro 8 and have recently upgraded to Aspire 8 and then 8.5. I haven't had any issues at all.

I have a PRT Alpha. When I switched the only real problem I had was with the UBC to Serial cable. Took a couple of days to get a new one and then it was back up and running.
