I am not sure if this is relevant: OnShape is a new software company that takes full featured CAD from the personal machine software to a cloud based service, so that a user does not need to shell out 5000-10000 Dollar for a full license (For small scale or public use it is free). I have played with it only so far to see this is interesting and it seems to work quite well.

I got a message there is a Webinar coming up to show the use in the furniture industry on 6/22 and I thought some people here may be interested.

Disclaimer: I have no direct connection with this company. I was only contacted by them if I would like to be part of their application developer community (not sure about that yet, my software may be hard to integrate). But it sounds like they got something.
