    Default part mounting jig

    Okay Vcarve geniuses, I don't know why this is giving me such trouble as I have Vcarve pretty well down in general.

    I have a tall model that I need to mount vert after it is cut out. You got me where I can make the model negative, just one click I was missing, but now Vcarve thinks I need a board as thick as the model is tall and gives me an error message.

    If someone can hollow out a 2X4 so I can stick the end in and show me how you did it I'll owe you.

    Yes, exactly! I got it by importing a DFX but I'd sure like to know your solution? I am betting it is so simple that I will slap my forehead as that is normally the case. I mean the tapered end.

    Also;
    "Discard data below zero plane" in setup, and "Create Zero Plane" in modeling tab.
    I think also I could have just used "Subtract" mode, but still pretty new to 3D and need to watch some more 3D tutorials

    Thanx again Scott, yes, I need to watch them all again too. If I could get 3D and fourth axis cutting down, I mean really down, there would not be much I could not do.
