Default Was this your jigging set up?

I snagged these pics way back when, and Think it was a Shopbotter's.
Helping a guy who just purchased a Desktop, rig up a spoilboard for jigging up small signs and such.
He really doesn't need something like my proto'ing spoilboard.
If it's yours...I'd like to pick your brain on any plus's/minus's and ideas for improvements.
Thinking a stiffer/stabler substrate and then gluing 1/4" MDF on top for surfacing would work well for him?
Please use my e-mail under contacts.
Thanks for any help or comments.

Scott ... Google has a "search by image" feature. Just provide a pic and see where he is used on the internet. Pretty cool.

I don't use those anymore. they had a tendency to loosen up by vibration. Now I don't use jigs a lot and if I do I will make a disposable jig and chuck it when done.

    Thank you Steve!
I haven't had that problem(even on that 19 hour cut last week).
Wonder if it's because I'm using the Zinc E-Z threaded inserts and soft metal is giving it some extra friction...hmmm.
Was it fairly quick and versatile like it looks?

a lot of vibes when cutting though solid wood. the handles would loosen up sometimes. now I just use nails or screws or double sided tape it is faster then setting up the jig.

    Ah, the handles.
Yep, had same problem and Loctite blued them 2yrs ago....Just started to loosen back up again, and maybe Red this time.
I do like the Shopfoxs though. Fast with BBPly wedges for spacers and a couple whacks with small deadblow to seat material firmly on spoilboard.
    Thanks again Steve!
