    Default Conductive pencil ?

I would love to find a conductive pen that I could zero with my zero plate and then draw things, prior to cutting. The body and ink/paint would need to be in contact with one another.

    Anything out there ?

I made somtehing similar a few years ago I used a half inch aluminum tube with a spring loaded pencil. To zero it I used a piece of aluminum foil wrapped on the tip and grounded for zeroing.
Now I use a lazer pointer that fits in my collet

    Brian,
A lazer pointer to fit in the collet is a good idea. Can you tell me where you got that?

The laser pointer is one of those key chain lasers you can pick up at a discount store for about $6.00
The diameter is a little tight but they fit.

I may have an answer for your conductive pencil.
I have used them in my own shop.
They are purchased at a welding supply shop and are the welding rods used to remove "old" weld.
They are copper outside and carbon centered, about 1/4" - 3/8" in diameter.
