Default OffFall - eCabinets ShopBot Link

When I draw out the off fall in the ShopBot Link I have to draw it starting in the lower left of the table shown which is x=96, y=48. That is point one (P1) in the screen shot below.

If I do it that way then when I do my nest the off fall is orientated in the lower left of the nesting diagram which corresponds with the 0,0 point of my machine.

What am I doing wrong? When I draw point one in the off fall screen at 0,0 then I would have to put the piece at 96,48 on my machine. Everything is backwards. I'm sure there is a simple explanation, some button that I haven't pressed, but I can't figure it out.

    I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

What I was actually referring to was adding sheets. I don't use the off fall feature in the Shopbot Link. When I first started using the Link I got some weird results with the off fall feature. After cutting out all the parts it would just cut some random line, often through the parts or just cut a line until the machine crashed into the proximity switch. So I stopped using the off fall feature. What I'm trying to do is use up leftover pieces of plywood by adding sheets. Thanks.

    Good morning Keith,

For some reason it is backward, I measure everything from 96,48

I got tired of the mental gymnastics needed to draw out irregular shaped sheets, offfall and voids in the ShopBot Link, so I made a spreadsheet to do it for me. I'm posting the file here in case anyone else might find it helpful.

It is set up for a 4' x 8' bed. You enter the co-ordinates of all the points in the yellow cells and as you do that it draws out the sheet in a scatter graph and calculates the co-ordinate data you need to enter in the ShopBot Link. I'm not an Excel guru, so if anyone see's anything wrong with the spreadsheet or anyway to improve it, let me know.

You're welcome, Tim. Hope you find it useful.

I saw Bill Young's blog about his visit to your shop and the pictures of your new workshop. It looks great. You must be very happy with the new space!
