Has anyone tried the pocket screw feature yet?
Has anyone tried the pocket screw feature yet?
I missed that, where is it found?
To use pocket screws, you must have the latest version installed found here http://www.thermwood.com/updates_shopbot_link.htm. You must have a 3/8" tool set up and checked for Pocket Screw Rout. You must also have a 5mm tool set up to drill and from the drop down box one of the options selected. If you intend to use the 3/8" tool or 5mm tool for other operations, you must set it up again with those boxes unchecked. When the boxes and options are checked, they are only used for those pocket screw operations.
That being said, there is a current bug in the new version. It inputs an M31 that is not recognized by ShopBot routers. You can simply click OK and it will move past the error. It will corrected for the next version.

Thank you for the reply. That was my problem I use a 3/8 and 5mm but when I checked the pocket screw box the software couldn't find the tool to do other operations. I assume I will set up another 3/8 and 5mm with only the pocket screw box checked after the tools I use for cutting and pocketing.
I tried it again with the tools set up as described and could not get it to work. has anyone been successful with this feature?
