Default 4th axis (Indexer) MISC project

Well I decided to try and cut this cabin/ducks over a lake scene I found online to see how it would look on a Cedar Dowel rod.

the Cedar dowel rod is 12" long and 2.875" in diameter.

it came out better than I expected , would look better on a larger dowel and if it had some more details to it.

Thanks for posting. Posts like this help keep the indexer close to the top of my wish list!! What size bit did you use for the finish? Would a smaller bit give better detail?

I like to see anything indexer related. Good job. I bet your shop smelled great!! Take the chips and put in a bowl on top of your toilet!

I used a 1/4" end mill for the rouging and a 1/4" ball nose end mill for the basic finishing path then I used a 1/8" ball nose to do some of the smaller stuff along with a 1/8" vbit to do the really small stuff.

sounds like you "overdid" it. What was your total cutting time altogether?

about 3 hour total with setup and rounding took it kinda slow, I was testing the new software update and 4th axis settings.
