I am having trouble laying this out so that the black areas raster down to .33 in the black areas.... aspire keeps trying to link other lines. how can i get this to lay out correct.

You can choose the color of individual toolpaths or set them globally to the same thing.
Sometimes if I want to change the color of an area that’s not being cut, I’ll pocket a few thousandths and set it to a specific color.

The link in my first response lets you down load the cleaned-up file… your file had about 7 million nodes, I cleaned it up to only be straight lines.
