    Default Z plunges after resume

I have a PRTalpha 96x48 with Colombo Spindle and the spindle control board for the Delta VFD. I just upgraded control software from 3.5.7 to 3.6.1. I ran the firmware upgrade. I then proceeded to do some aircuts to test.

My problem is when I pause the file and then hit resume the z plunges down without stopping. Clicking on stop does nothing. I have to hit the E-stop. At least the goto line routine works fine so I have that option. Any suggestions for fixing this?

I have had this happen to me. As a result I am very cautious after stopping a file in mid-cut. Always check that the position on the screen matches the physical position. I have not upgraded my control computer to 3.6 yet so I'm sorry to hear it can still happen in 3.6. Not sure you can eliminate it - it seems to be a communications problem stemming from the timing of when you hit the S or Space key - if it comes just at a certain instant in the communications stream SB seems to lose track of where it is.
